The Municipality of Middlesex Centre had big plans for a new accessible playground at Komoka Park as part of the 2023 budget.
Those plans got BIGGER over the weekend with a $60,000 donation from the Optimist Club of Komoka-Kilworth. This generous donation will allow for more accessible elements to be added to the playground.
The Komoka-Kilworth Optimists announced the donation at their 50th Anniversary celebration on September 16, 2022.
“Over the decades, the Optimists have truly been a “Friend of Youth,” supporting community spaces, parks and programs for young people in our community,” commented Mayor Aina DeViet. “We thank them for this and past donations, and applaud them for 50 years of dedication to Komoka, Kilworth and all of Middlesex Centre.”
More details about the new playground will be shared in the Spring.
