Starting January 2009, the municipalities of Southwest Middlesex, Lucan-Biddulph, North Middlesex and Middlesex Centre entered into a group contract with the Ontario Provincial Police. As part of that change, a Police Services Board was put into place to oversee the contract and have input into police service within their municipalities. The Police Services Board meets every other month on the third Friday at the Middlesex Centre Administration Office in the Council Chambers at 1:00 p.m. one (1) elected representative appointed by resolution from the Municipality of Middlesex Centre; one (1) elected representative appointed jointly by resolution from the Township of Lucan Biddulph, the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex or the Municipality of North Middlesex alternating every two (2) years between the municipalities; one (1) community representative who resides in the Township of Lucan Biddulph, the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex, or the Municipality of North Middlesex appointed by resolution jointly by the Municipalities alternating every two (2) years between them municipalities; two (2) persons appointed by the Lieutenant Governor In Council with one (1) being a representative from the Township of Lucan Biddulph, the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex or the Municipality of North Middlesex and one (1) member being a representative from the Municipality of Middlesex Centre.
