Property Standards
The Municipality of Middlesex Centre has set standards for the maintenance and occupancy of properties within its boundaries. The function of this committee is to hear appeals, filed by owners or occupants of property within the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, after they have been served with an order to maintain their property according to the standards prescribed by Municipal By-law.

Cemetery Committee
As an advisory Committee appointed by Council, the Cemetery Committee meets two to three times a year and oversees the maintenance and operation of all our active and inactive Municipal cemeteries.

Livestock Valuers
The Livestock, Poultry & Honey Bee Protection Act provides that the council of every local municipality shall appoint one or more persons as Valuers of livestock and poultry. The Municipality of Middlesex Centre appoints four livestock valuers.

Fence Viewers
The Line Fences Act provides a procedure, administered by the local municipality, for resolving fencing disputes between neighbouring land-owners. Disputes are resolved by local fenceviewers, appointed by Council, who make an award apportioning responsibility for the fence between two owners.

Tri-Township Arena Board
The Tri-Township Arena services the municipalities of Middlesex Centre, Strathroy-Caradoc, and Chippewa. The Tri-Township Arena Board meets the second Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at 22647 Adelaide Road in Mount Brydges.

Southwest Middlesex Medical Centre Board of Directors
The Southwest Middlesex Medical Centre is located at 22262 Mill Rd and serves the areas of Mount Brydges, Delaware, Komoka, Parkhill and area (Middlesex) First Nation communities of Oneida, Muncey and Chippewa. It is a health clinic with doctors and dentist on staff and serves as a teaching centre. The Board of Directors oversees the administration of the centre.

Upper Thames River Conservation Authority Board of Directors
The Upper Thames Valley Conservation Authority’s (UTRCA) mission statement is "Inspiring a healthy environment." The 17 municipalities within the upper Thames watershed appoint representatives to the UTRCA’s Board of Directors. The directors represent the local urban and rural communities, deciding policies and programs that will lead to a healthy watershed.

St. Clair Region Conservation Authority Board of Directors
The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority (SCRCA) was established under the Conservation Authorities Act in 1961 to conserve local renewable natural resources in the watersheds of the region. The SCRCA operates under the direction of a Board of Directors appointed by the municipalities within its jurisdiction.

Ausable-Bayfield Conservation Authority Board of Directors
The Ausable-Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) encompasses the drainage basins of the Ausable River, Bayfield River, Parkhill Creek and the gullies between Bayfield and Grand Bend draining directly to Lake Huron. The 2,440 square kilometre area of jurisdiction can be classified as largely rural with a population of 45,000. The ABCA operates under the direction of a Board of Directors appointed by the municipalities within its jurisdiction. The Municipality of Middlesex Centre shares this appointment with the Township of Adelaide-Metcalfe.

Kettle Creek Conservation Authority Board of Directors
The Kettle Creek Conservation Authority (KCCA) was incorporated by an Order in Council in 1965. In partnership with its member municipalities, and the Province of Ontario, the Authority manages the natural resources of the Kettle Creek watershed and devotes itself to water and land conservation projects.
The Full Authority, or Board of Directors, makes program decisions and allocates funds. This body is comprised of ten representatives from municipalities within the watershed. Together the members develop programs that further the conservation, restoration, development and management of the natural resources of Kettle Creek watershed.

Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority Board of Directors
The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority has jurisdiction over the watersheds of all streams which drain into the Thames from the village of Delaware to Lake St. Clair. Its southern boundary has jurisdiction over the watersheds of all streams which drain into Lake Erie, from the Talbot Creek watershed in the east to the Two Creeks watershed in the west. This area of jurisdiction includes 10 member municipalities.
Meetings of the Board of Directors are generally held on the last Thursday of every other month commencing in February at the Chatham Administration Building of the Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority. As appointed representatives, Directors are charged with the responsibility of establishing policies and making policy decisions which will govern the operation of the Authority.

Bluewater Recycling Association Representative
The Bluewater Recycling Association is a unique rural based non-profit organization developing and maintaining waste management facilities on behalf of, and in cooperation with the municipal sector. The Association services approximately 150,000 people in 70,000 households from 21 member municipalities in Southwestern Ontario. The representative from Middlesex Centre attends shareholders meetings twice a year.

Green Lane Landfill Public Liaison Committee
The establishment of the Green Lane Landfill Public Liaison Committee (GLLPLC) is for the review and exchange of information and concerns between the landfill owners and the public. The Committee remains in place with the purchase of the landfill by the City of Toronto.

Joint Board of Management for the Lake Huron Primary Water Supply System
The Lake Huron Primary Water Supply System services the communities of London, Lambton Shores, North Middlesex, South Huron, Bluewater, Middlesex Centre, Lucan-Biddulph and Strathroy-Caradoc from a water treatment plant located east of the village of Grand Bend in South Huron. The plant has a current treatment capacity of 340 million litres per day (75 Million Imperial gallons per day) and serves a population of approximately 325,000 people.
