As part of the Planning and Development Services Department, Planning Division`s function is to assist Municipal Council, the development community and the public in matters relating to land use planning. In providing such assistance, our primary goal is to manage growth in Middlesex Centre and to ensure a high quality of development having regard for the health, safety and welfare of the existing community. The Division is responsible for maintaining and updating Middlesex Centre`s Official Plan and Zoning By-law as well as the processing and administration of various planning applications in a timely and efficient manner. The Planning Division also responds to general inquiries related to land use planning matters and prepares statistical information such as population counts and projections as well as inventories with respect to residential, commercial and industrial land.
