Solid Waste

Bluewater Recycling Association is contracted for the co-collection of recyclables and garbage throughout Middlesex Centre.  Collection will be on a weekly basis for both recyclales and garbage.  Each bag or container of garbage will need a bag tag attached to it ($1.75 each).  Acceptable recycling material is collected at no charge.  A reminder to residents that there is a garbage bag weight restriction, any garbage bags over 20 kgs (45 lbs) or over 30 gallons will not be collected because it is unsafe for the collection drivers.  The weight limits are in place so that our collection drivers can safely, using proper lifting techniques maneuver garbage bags/containers in the collection truck.  For further information on garbage and recyclables please visit the Bluewater Recycling Association`s website www.bra.org

E-Waste Recycling

Are you wondering what to do with your old electronics?  Surplus electronic waste or `E-waste` is becoming a growing concern.  By reducing or recycling e-waste, this keeps potentially toxic materials, like mercury and lead, out of landfills.

Bluewater Recycling Association accepts e-waste where they breakdown the components and properly dispose of the electronics.  Computers, monitors, laptops, printers, and TVs can be dropped off at their Huron Park facility during normal business hours free of charge.  For more information please contact them at 519-228-6678 or visit their website at www.bra.org/ewaste/
